Jeanine McKee
Jeanine lives in Canby, Oregon with her husband of 14 years, and her
10 year old son, who shows right along by her side. She also slowly converting my husband to the
“dark side” – he even encouraged the purchase of a larger brooder
recently! She started showing two years
ago, and are adding more shows all the time. Jeanine loves spending the day in a whole
barn full of birds and meeting and talking to new people.
Jeanine acquired my first bantam Ameraucanas by “accident” a few years
ago when she had a lone chick hatch that needed some friends. Someone locally was selling black bantam
chicks from John Blehm. She bought two
chicks, and quickly fell in love with them! Soon Jeanine bought some started birds, and never looked back. Last year she added large fowl, and am really
enjoying them. Jeanine is currently raising
black and lavender in both bantam and large fowl.
Aside
from serving the ABC as Western District Director, Jeanine
works full time as an emergency Veterinary Technician, is the poultry
leader for her son’s 4-H club, and the Northwest Correspondent
for the Faverolles Fanciers
of America.
Jeanine currently serves the Club as Western District Director.
