Tina Dinkins
Tina
Dinkins is from Roane County, Tennesse. She was born in Rockwood,
TN and now lives in Kingston, TN. The town are small towns
located next to each other. Tina first learned about chickens
from her grandmother and her father as a young child. Her grandmother's
chickens were laying hens and her
dad's chickens were fighting chickens, but I loved them all. (She was to young to
know what fighting chickens a really did.)
Tina
started raising chickens of her own after moving back to this area and
starting a family. She wanted her children to know about animals so
they bought five acres and started a mini-farm. She also gave up her
teacher career in special education to raise her own children and take
care of the animals. Tina's first chickens first chckens were mixed
chicks from the co-op. She starting searching on the Internet and was
hooked. Tina got Silkies, Naked Necks, Easter Eggers, Cochins,
and whatever she could get her hands on.
Tina is the Southeastern District Director.
